About Sim Carimbo
Sim Carimbo was born in 2018, in Ílhavo, a small coastal town in Portugal, but the idea started long before that. At the time, we worked with customised packaging and kept noticing the same thing: lots of people wanted to customise their products… but only in small quantities, at accessible prices, and without complicated processes.
A practical solution simply didn’t exist, so we decided to create one.
That’s how our “sim” stamps came to life: made from high-resistance rubber, mounted on wooden bases crafted by us, and ready to customise packaging of any size. A quick, affordable and durable tool, exactly what our customers were looking for.
And the name?
“Sim Carimbo” was inspired by the way we work. In Portuguese, “Sim” means “Yes”, and we’ve always had this instinct to say yes, to new ideas, unconventional requests, and challenges that require creativity.
And “carimbo” means “stamp” because it’s the most direct and human way we found to bring brands and projects to life.
Over time, personalisation stopped being just an alternative, it became our entire world.
And today, we continue expanding it.
In addition to stamps, we now produce small-batch stickers, custom packaging prints, inks for different materials, and other creative personalisation solutions. We stay focused on being accessible, fast, and close to our customers, always keeping the artisanal spirit that has been with us since the beginning.
We continue doing what brought us here: creating simple solutions that make a difference.
And we want to keep growing this way, with creativity, closeness, and a wholehearted Portuguese “Yes.”
Our Journey
Since 2018, we’ve grown alongside the people who trust us. This is our story.
2018
We started with simple experiments and small stamps that we created, tested, and shared with our closest customers. It was a year of learning, exploring raw materials and discovering production methods that continue to evolve with us to this day.

2019
We began developing personalised stamps for weddings, events and other creative ideas. It was also the year of our first experiments with larger stamps designed to customise packaging. We took part in small local fairs to showcase our work and connect with the community.

2020
The year of the pandemic changed everything. It was when we launched our online store and began growing more consistently. We updated our brand and expanded our portfolio, introducing new products, including our embossing stamps.

2021
It was a year of growth and important steps. Luís officially joined the team, we dedicated ourselves to creating new products such as our large ink pads, and at the end of the year we opened our first physical space. A milestone that gave us even more motivation to keep evolving.

2022
To better meet our customers’ needs, we began producing printed products and offering packaging options that complemented the use of our stamps. It was also the year we introduced self-inking stamps, a faster and more practical option that many people had been requesting.

2023
It was a year full of experiments and new ideas. We explored different inks and materials, including applications on fabric. We also created our hand ink pad, an original product designed by us that made it even easier and more efficient to ink large stamps.

2024 until today
Since then, we have continued to grow and to refine the way we communicate and serve our customers. We added new solutions in response to the needs that came our way, from thermal fabric labels to multi-surface ink pads, along with many other creative ideas we developed over time.
